The Dual Purpose Tank Mount for the LiveWire One creates a clean, solid mounting platform for both a Quad Lock phone mount and SW Motech tank bags without drilling, clamping, or permanently modifying the motorcycle. An industrial strength 3M adhesive backing secures the polypropylene base to the tank, while a 5052 aluminum interface plate provides durable mounting points for the included Quad Lock 360 base and pre drilled locations for SW Motech Pro or Ion tank rings. The design lifts the tank bag slightly above the tank surface to help prevent damage to paint and plastics during use.
All required hardware is included, including the adhesive mounting system and bolts for securing the base and aluminum interface plate. Riders only need to supply their own Quad Lock phone mount, compatible phone case and charging cable, or a SW Motech Pro (here) or Ion tank ring (here) and compatible Pro series tank bag depending on their preferred setup.
I highly recommend the Pro tank ring over the Ion tank ring. The adjustability of the pro series is better suited to the the fit of a tank bag just right on the LW1/ELW. The pro series features an adjustable track on the underside of the tank bag. The Ion series is a permanent fixture, and cannot be adjusted after you install the ring mount.
***rated capacity is 30lbs (13.5kg), however I would not recommend going more than 20lbs if using a tank bag.
